The mission of the Education Commission of Mzuzu Diocese is to facilitate the provision of quality Catholic education that responds to the moral, spiritual, academic and social and economic needs of students at all levels of formal education in accordance with the teachings of the Church.
Current School Projects
Each of the fifteen parishes in the Mzuzu Diocese are currently implementing an Irish Missionary Resource Service (IMRS) funded project to construct or renovate a school classroom block or teacher's house to the approximate value of MK 1, 200, 000 (Euro 5,400), including local input of bricks, sand and unskilled labour. The total value of these projects is Euro 81, 000 of which Euro 62, 360 was provided by IMRS In addition, the following projects are underway and funded by Charcen Dury Building organization of Germany:
* St. Denis Parish, Rumphi
* St. Dominic's and St. Monica's Primary Schools - construction of Teachers houses and School Classroom blocks.
* St. Peters Parish, Mzuzu
* Nambo Primary School - construction of a school classroom block and teachers houses. List of

* Marymount Secondary School
* Nkhata-Bay Boys secondary School

* approximately 300 primary schools
