Ungweru:
'Ungweru' is the Chitumbuka word for 'Light'. It is this
word Ungweru which is used to describe a Center in
Luwinga, (near the transmitter area), Mzuzu 2, Malawi.
The aims of this Center are many-fold. It is intended to:
Ungweru is convinced of the importance of access to
information to all. Ungweru wishes to welcome all
peoples of the surrounding area of all backgrounds and
all denominations. Come and drink from its information
sources.
Ungweru also promotes full accountability and will strive at
all times to be completely transparent.

| area who may lack a quiet conducive reading place | ||
| be a Meeting Place for various groups in the local | |
| community, Ungweru has a conference table which can accomodate up to 16 people comfortably. | ||
| be an Affordable Computer Training Center for | |
| the youth with some secretarial services. | ||
| incorporate Income Generating Activities for | |
| Ungweru e.g Design of Greeting/Invitation Cards, Business Cards, Web Site Creation etc | ||
| be a Channel for Funds from well wishers in | |
| Ireland to reach HIV / AIDS groups in Luwinga and provide the service of accounting for these funds to the same well wishers. |
