Irish Aid have agreed to spend MK 60
million in 2009 in 10 schools
in
Mzimba, Rumphi and Nkhata Bay
districts
as follows:

St Michael’s Full Primary School, Ekwendeni
             (Build two teachers Houses)

Emvuyeni Full Primary School
              (Build two teachers houses)

Chigonaazungu Junior Primary School.
              (Build two teachers houses, a two
               
classroomschool block,  two ventilated
                improved pit latrines and a borehole.)

Kavuzi Full Primary School
              (Build a two classroom school block and two
                ventilated improved pit latrines.)

Chibwaka Full Primary School
              (Build two teachers’ houses, a two classroom
                school block and two ventilated improved
                 
pit latrines.)

Elamuleni Full Primary School.
              (Build a two classroom school block, two
                teachers’ houses and two ventilated improved
                  pit latrines.)

Manoro Full Primary School
               (Build one teacher’s house, a borehole and
                  two Ventilated Improved Pit latrines.)

Mtantha Full Primary School
               (Build a two classroom school block and two
                  teachers’ houses.)

Saint Annie’s Junior Primary School
              (Build a two classroom school block, two
                  teachers’ houses and two Ventilated
                    Improved Pit latrines.)

Katowa Full Primary School
               (Build a two classroom school block, one
                  teacher’s house and two ventilated improved
                   pit latrines.)


As well as the above infrastructure Irish Aid are funding workshops to promote good teaching
practices, HIV/AIDS awareness, gender issues,
health and hygiene in all of the above schools.
