Finished building at bottom of this page
Mr C. Shawa (Headmaster)
A slight delay in completing the building

Anyone consulting this page may be surprised that things may seem to have come to a standstill.  But
NO.  Even though unfinished, the classroom is being used as we are in the middle of the rainy season
and there is just no other alternative.  But my (J.A. Ryan) estimates for finalising everything in a city
situation were a bit low.  The good news is that the diocese seeing the local efforts together with
Louth Co Co have agreed to put in another approx Euro 1,500 to finish off everything including
furniture.  This Euro 1,500 includes the balance left after buying the IT equipment for the Education
Secretary's Office.  My  estimate  to complete the job was based on work done a few years back.  It
seems things have got more expensive.

The finished block of three class-rooms
for Euro 4,500!
Even the un-completed school block is being used.  See second photo
which shows a typical day in Mzuzu during the wet season.
