Ungweru Line of Management
At present, 2009, all funds for Ungweru come through the Board of
Trustees. The line of management of Ungweru reflects this situation.
The Board of Trustees consists of three Irish and three Malawians,
namely Matthews Mtumbuka, Chimwemwe Msukwa, Cecelia Ngwira,
Patrick and Johanna Fitzpatrick, and John Ryan. The Board of
Trustees retains the right of final decision in all matters.
The Board of Directors consist of Tito Banda, Edgar Bayani, Bulukutu
Chirwa, Lameck Kaluluma, Annie Msyali, Helen Mwalughali, Andrew
Nyirenda, Levi Soko and Sungani Tembo. The Board of Directors
make all decisions (subject to the Board of Trustees) as regards the
general direction of Ungweru, the day to day running of Ungweru and
the disbursement of funds under Ungweru to various CBOs and
FBOs.
The Executive Secretary reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors.
However, considering the 'newness' of the present Ungweru and the
nature of Ungweru's present funding, the Executive Secretary will also
liaise closely with the Chair of the Board of Trustees. The Executive
Secretary will implement decisions made at Meetings of the Board of
Directors after these minutes have been passed by the Chair of
Trustees.
The Executive Secretary will work closely with the Coordinator of
Community Programs in all matters pertaining to FBOs and CBOs
which Ungweru is involved with.
